great service and a great price.

I ordered the part (valve body) on 5/11/16 late in the evening. The part arrived Saturday morning 5/14/16. I put it in the same day, and everything is working great. I was having problems with the shifting in and out of overdrive between 50 and 65, and at slower speeds it was shuttering between gears. I have 209000 plus miles on a 2005 chevy trailblazer, transmission shops said that I needed a total rebuild, but knowing my auto it was working fine, then one morning it started acting up. No loud noises , no clanking etc...just shifting in and out at constant speeds. So a little more research and I have read where others had the same issue that I was having and replacing the valve body and fixed the problem. I didn't pull my transmission out, I repaired it in the driveway in about 2.5 hours start to finish. The only issue I had was a check ball location on the top side of the plate, they don't tell you about. But a quick look up on the net, and a little dab of vasoline, to hold check ball in place while I assembled the valve body and in no time I was driving again problem free. They will send you the valve body and everything you need to install, the only thing that you will need will be the replacement fluid. And compared to other sites, they are far more affordable. Thank you GM Transmission Parts, I will be recommending you to others. Keith

    Worn valve body fixed

Posted by Kim P. on Apr 8th 2016

I found this company on Google and saved a ton of money cause everybody wants to overhaul your transmission and do no repairing , I had a good transmission but with the miles I had the valve body needed some tightening up from wear and tear . The transmission shifts great now plus their customer is A+ talking to a live person was priceless.

    Exactly what was needed.

My Transmission was jumping back and forth between gears, at about 2000rpms and 50-60mph. Being my first transmission teardown besides changing fluid this was simple with the help of YouTube videos. You will need a torque wrench, and torque the bolts to 8lbs for the valve body. The pan should be torqued to 9lbs. Make sure you mark out what bolt comes from where. I replaced mine with the transmission still attached to the vehicle with no problems. I'm just a backyard mechanic, replaced it in my dirt driveway with my vehicle up on blocks. So far so good transmission seems to be running smoothly.

    P1870 Gone!

Posted by Lex Walker on Jul 26th 2015

Had my 4L60E in my 2003 S10 rebuilt about 6 months ago but it started slipping. Took it to Auto Zone got the P1870 code. Went online, did some reasearch ordered this part, got it 3 days later. Installed this weekend. P1870 code gone. Wish I would have replaced the valve body when doing my rebuild.

    good product

Would've given 5 stars except I felt some more instruction would've been nice. I did a lot of studying prior to replacing the part so I knew a good bit before starting. Shipping was fast and part is in and doing well.
